e-mailed coaxial today

No matter what Chris says on the transparent youtube videos.... this cable system is not ready for primetime.Please call me at work on Monday to set up an appointment to have your cable checked out.
1. WICU quality contimues to suck!
2. Several channels continue to have lip sync issues.
3. Switching channels is at your own hearing risk.
4. Some channels have sound and video issues that make them unwatchable.
5. if you switch to fast from channel to channel these cheap Korean boxes lock up and you have to re-boot them.
6. EPG is missing on 25 % of the channels.

Daylight Savings Time

It is Sunday March 9th beginning of daylight savings time. I guess coaxial didn't know this and the time on their cable menu is still incorrect.
We should call our representative and let them know that the government needs a better system of informing the public about the time change. It looks like coaxialcable never got the message.

Cheap digital cable boxes

For those of you with digital coaxialcable.....what do you think about these new digital boxes. Well I have two of them and it seems that these made in Korea boxes are not really that great. I just discovered that if I flip through the channels to fast my box locks up. The only remedy is to turn off and on the box in the back and have it re-boot it self. (Maybe they are Windows based)

I will try to exchange the box in the near future. I hear coaxialcable is out of them. They must be stuck on a container ship from the Far East.

Let it snow outside and on your screen

Hey it is Australian Open time. So I am watching tennis last night and really enjoying the start of new tennis season.....and the picture on my TV goes away. No sound/signal. Guess what it is snowing outside.

When it snows outside you are guaranteed to loose channels on coaxialcable. Now the good thing is that it doesn't snow much in Edinboro/Cambridge Springs. Oops...wrong!

That reminds me of a call I made to coaxialcable last winter. It is Saturday morning and I enjoy watching Fox soccer channel. Well the picture started pixelating and then totally went black. I called the service number and within 20 minutes I received a call back. I explained that there must be snow on the dish in Cambridge Springs and if they could please knock the snow off. The coaxial cable tech told me that he was just in Cambridge Springs and it wasn't snowing there.
I insisted and he said he would investigate.

Within 45 minutes the picture cleared up. Sometime later I received a phone from the tech saying "your should have reception now" (it was snow after all)
I guess he must not be from around here.

Finally it is kind of ironic that coaxialcable runs ads about how if you own a dish that you are susceptible to weather conditions such as snow. Seems like they haven't figured out yet how to deal with the white stuff themselves.

Lips not synced

I have had a constant problem with the sound not matching the lips on our digital cable. Now keep in mind that coaxialcable tells me that I am the only one complaining about this!

If you are having the same problem....please post a reply. For me it seems to be mostly on the local channels but I have seen it on other ones also.

On Hold

Have you tried to call coaxialcable lately. Well I someone I work with tried to call last week and was on hold for over 35 minutes. He got so desperate and had other people in our office call to see if they could get through.
I myself called earlier that day and was put on hold with a "please hold". I only waited for 15 minutes before I gave up.
I am sure they are trying but this doesn't seem right.

This morning was the big change for our cable company. All the channels locations were changed. The process was actually pretty easy and for me went pretty smooth. How was your experience?
It in going to take some time to get used to the new line up and the new increased cost.

Well it is the start of a new year and time to start the new coaxialcable feedback blog. Now I do not work for coaxialcable I am just a customer. I felt it was time that the customers of coaxial should have a way of communicating on-line and I hope this is the right forum. Please feel free to post any replies to my post and once I get this figured out we can make this more interactive.



I will try to be as objective as possible. As they come coaxialcable is a pretty good cable company. They have always given me great service. I do have questions about the quality of product they are selling.
